Brand New Day
Darlene found the place in an older part of town. It was a bit rundown, but it meant she could get it cheaply. Soon she was the proud owner of a store. Unfortunately it turned out that to be the easy part. It was decidedly harder to get all the paperwork approved for her to open her own business.
One day it was done: her own floristry was ready to open for business. At least legally. The place itself was covered in dust. Her eyes watered. She coughed and sneezed more than she’d ever done.
She’d never been happier, though.
