If You Can't Stand the Heat
by C.R.M. Nilsson

The beach is our thing. Most of our dates have been walks on the beach or just spending time lying down on towels, lazing around. I learnt one thing about you early on: your skin doesn’t tan, it doesn’t freckle, what it does is burn. And you seem to wilfully forget protection.

I never imagined me to be anything like a Bridezilla. But when my husband-to-be, who knows that his skin’s sensitive, stay out too long in the sun the day before our wedding… you’re red as a lobster!

I glare and mutter darkly,

“You’re lucky I love lobsters, Jonas.”
