Honeymoon
by C.R.M. Nilsson

You planned our honeymoon, which is why I’m acting like a hyper kid once I see the view from our hotel room. It’s just at the beach and I can’t see where the ocean ends in the distance. The water is turquoise.

“So, I did good?” you ask wryly.

I nod speechless. Then I bounce – yes, bounce – over to you to give you a brief kiss on the mouth. You wrap your arms around me and it makes my body tingle. I really love hugs. Kissing isn’t that important. Humming I say sincerely,

“It’s perfect, Jonas.”

And it really is.
